Hood
'Hood' meets on Friday Nights at the Gracefields Church church building from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
We welcome all teenagers to come and hang out with us as we catch up, play games and think about life and the Bible together.

Cutting Edge
Cutting Edge is a termly youth rally for youth groups from around Cape Town. The venue moves around each term meaning we get to visit churches from all over! This is a fantastic place for us to connect with our friends from other churches and reminisce over Cross Word Camp!
Sundays
Gracefields Church Services
At Gracefields Church, we want to encourage teens to make the transition from Kids’ Church to active participation in a Sunday congregational service.
We especially recommend that teens attend our 6pm service because we believe it is the service best suited to their age group, and because there is a benefit to attending the same service as other teens. Many teens also serve in various capacities at all three services.
GAP
To help those in Grade 8 and 9 navigate the transition from Kids Church to our Church Services we run a ministry called GAP.
GAP runs at the 10am service. Teens begin in the service and leave at the same time the children leave for Kids Church. During GAP the teens will watch and discuss a talk specifically aimed at their age group and focused on the meaning and importance of church.
Engage Devotionals
One of the ways in which we encourage our teens at Gracefields Church to get to know and love Jesus better is by spending time in personal bible reading and prayer. In doing this they will get to marvel at how the whole Bible points to Him! And, they will get to enjoy the peace and joy that comes from speaking with Him.
A great resource for personal Bible reading for the teens are the Engage Devotionals. We highly recommend them and you purchase copies locally at Christian Book Discounters or directly through Gracefields Church where we offer them to our teens at a special rate of R40.
Child Protection Policy
We take the safety of our children at Gracefields Church very seriously. For this reason we have developed a Child Protection Policy that is compliant with the Child Protection Act 38 of 2005 (as amended) and the REACH-SA Child Protection Policy.

If you believe that this policy is not being complied with in any way, or if you have any concerns, please contact our designated Child Protection Officer: Mariska Pienaar (079 459 6745) who will escalate it to the necessary Authorities.

Tim Gertzen oversees the Teen Ministry at Gracefields Church.
Tim is busy studying theology at George Whitefield College in Muizenberg. Tim loves reading, getting outdoors, and watching Test cricket. Most of all, he loves teaching people about Jesus and seeing them grow to love Jesus more! Tim is married to Caitlyn.
